Our dog Kona has done an amazing job with Cooper. From the day we introduced them to each other, she has been patient, kind and full of kisses for Cooper. We were nervous about them together only becuase Kona started displaying some concerning behaviors a month left of my pregnancy. We talked to a local dog trainer who gave us some suggestions on introducing dogs to babies. Here is what we were told:
- Baby comes before dog, so we were to bring Kona home after baby had been there, so Kona saw her new family.
- We had my husbands parents watch Kona while we were in the hospital. We bought a special blanket that was to become Kona's.
- We swaddled Cooper in the special blanket for a couple of hours and then my in-laws brought the blanket to their house so Kona could get used to the smell of Cooper.
- When we came home from the hospital, we had my in-laws bring Kona over in the evening. The introduction couldn't have gone better! Kona smelled, kissed, and curled up around Cooper immediately.
This is Cooper's only cousin (so far...) Ivy.

I have to say that I LOVE the Boppy pillow. It is good for breastfeeding, supporting the baby while laying on back, sitting, and for tummy time.

My in-laws brought this over one night. It is a picture of my husband 1 day old. We thought Cooper and Brian looked so much alike, but Cooper is a-changin!

First outing to the mall! I needed to get some nursing bras, so headed out with our new stroller and new baby to Motherhood Maternity at the Supermall to get some good quality nursing bras and shirts.

First boo-boo courtesy of my husband. Newborn fingernails are the most difficult things to deal with! They grow quickly, leave big scratches on the face, and are almost impossible to cut. It took a couple of boo-boos before mom and dad figured this one out.
